10 Favorite Amazon Purchases This Year!

#1 - Pure Daily Care Facial Steamer

This facial steamer from Pure Daily is probably my favorite Amazon “purchase” ever. I got it as a Christmas gift back in December and I am obsessed with it. I pretty much use it every day and it feels freaking amazing on my skin especially during these cold, dry, winter days here in Colorado. You can use regular tap water (but no essential oils) and it runs for about 20-30 minutes in one sitting. I will put on a podcast, sit at my desk and drink my tea at night in front of it and it’s my favorite way to wind down from the day. It’s super affordable too which is a huge bonus!

#2 - Fit Simplify Resistance Bands

These resistance bands. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they come in a pack of 5 resistance levels since most only come in a pack of 3, which makes it easy to increase or decrease if a particular move gets too difficult or isn’t quite challenging enough. These are my go-to bands when I am doing home YouTube workouts (especially Pamela Rief, she has a killer booty band one that leaves me burning!) I also think they are pretty and I just really like that they are ombré shades of pink. :)

#3 - Clear Organizers

I love clear organization. I used to keep all of my nail polish in a box without a lid. It had no organization to it whatsoever and I was having to constantly sort through a million colors to find the one I was searching for. I put this baby up on the wall and ta-da! Problem solved. (Now, the only problem is that I can clearly see when I come home with the exact same color I already own. Haha.)

The lazy-suzan makeup organizer is a new addition and I really like it. I keep my daily makeup products in it which makes getting ready quick and easy in the morning. I also have a bit of an earring addiction, so these organizers are essential for me to keep them all organized. I keep dangly and long ones on the rotating tree, and tassels, hoops, and studs in the drawers. Love being able to find all the accessories really easily!

#4 - UV Nail Light + Gel Polish

I bought this UV nail light on a whim one day because I saw a blogger that I follow using it and she always has the prettiest nails, so I thought I would upgrade. I had an old one from Walmart that I’ve had since about 2013, when gel polish first started becoming popular, and the upgrade was worth it! I can fit both hands in at the same time if I want to and I really like that it has two setting options of 30 or 60 seconds, depending on your polish/coat. It works super fast and lasts so much longer than regular polish. Worth the money in my opinion.

#5 - Front Loader Washing Machine Door Prop

For years I have struggled with my front loader having a funky smell. I have dismantled the entire thing, replaced the front sealing element, cleaned the pea trap, run umpteen loads of bleach through the darn thing and I still couldn’t get rid of that yucky smell…until I found this little guy. Our washer is in the doorway of our pantry, so as much as we tried to keep it open, it would inevitably get shut again as someone walked by or bumped into it. I don’t know why it took me so long to go online and search for a device to prop it open - I guess I’m a little slow - but I finally did one day and voila! I found these door props and the smell was eliminated almost immediately. It’s magnetic on the bottom so it sticks to the machine and stays in place, but it’s also easy to remove and store while the machine is in use. Quick, easy, cheap and effective.

#6 - Reading Lights + Wireless iPhone Charger

I really do not like bright lights at bedtime. Like I won’t even let my husband turn on the overhead lights in the bathroom while we are brushing our teeth at night because they are just too bright and I swear it keeps me awake, ha. Instead, I really like to read by lamplight or flashlight, especially if he is trying to sleep or vice versa. I got us each a pair of these reading lights and they are super convenient to keep right by the bed. They have 3 brightness settings, and you can turn on or off each side separately which is nice.

These wireless chargers are really awesome. You literally just set your phone on it and it blinks green to let you know it is charging, then it turns off. No light, no cords, no plugging in. Both of us hated how our old charging cords always fell down between the bed and the nightstand nearly every day and we’d up on the floor searching for it every night. These wireless chargers work through most phone cases I have had, except I recently got a Loopy case so now it won’t fit on the charger if I do not take off the case at night. (I would imagine the same would happen if you have a pop socket on your case, too.) Not a huge deal, in my opinion, and honestly way better than unplugging my phone and watching the charger fall into the dark abyss between the bed but being too tired to get down and search for it in the middle of the night. I’ll opt for no case at night.

#7 - Sleep Masks

I have to sleep in one of these. I don’t know what it is, but I just can’t fall asleep if I don’t have one on! I have tried tons of masks over the years, most of which have come with a pajama set or Christmas gift, but something that I find common (and always hate) is that most aren’t curved to fit your eyes, so they end up feeling squished and flat and slide off my face. These stay on! They are made of a very squishy, soft material and they feel very lightweight on my face, plus they have a concave design so that my eyes don’t feel any pressure around them. I tend to get puffy eyes in the morning, so this is a plus. Out of all the sleep masks in my drawer (and there are probably at least 15), I reach for these 99% of the time.

#8 - Babymoov Humidifier

We have owned probably 7 different humidifiers in the 10 years we have lived in the Rockies. I have liked certain features about each one, but this one is my favorite of them all. We have 3 now! Some of my favorite features about this one are:

  • it’s super quiet.

  • it has 5 humidity levels and is easily adjustable/not confusing to set like some I have had in the past.

  • it can unplug from the back so that you can empty the base without having to reach behind and unplug the wall outlet.

  • it has several different light settings, and multicolors, which are all bright enough to use as a nightlight in a kids room.

  • it has auto shut off when it is out of water.

  • it has essential oil capabilities which most humidifiers do not.

  • it’s really easy to clean.

  • it has lasted us longer than any other humidifier we have ever owned, and we run it 24/7 in the winter months.

#9 - Hair Clips

I hopped on the 90’s trend and bought some of these hair clips and I am so glad! I love a big clip that I can twist up my hair to wash my face or rinse off in the tub. Especially if I want to pull my hair back without making a big crease from a hair tie if my hair is already done or curled and I don’t want to mess it up. These had great reviews and they work well for thick hair!

#10 - FitBit Versa Watch Bands

I really love to accessorize anything I can, so having these interchangeable watch bands is super fun! I had a FitBit Versa when I bought these, lost it unfortunately, and then I bought a Versa 2 replacement. I didn’t even think about whether my bands would fit the new watch, but luckily they do! The clip-in part is on the other side on the Versa 2, but I have never had any trouble getting any of these bands to fit and stay on with either the Versa or the Versa 2. I also love to use the watch face covers when I am working out to protect it from getting scratched, particularly if I’m doing weights or planks. These have held up on numerous runs and hikes!
