Cozy Rainy Day Style

There’s something about rainy days that take me back to growing up in Texas, watching the sky get dark, waiting for the thunderstorms to roll in, and it makes me so happy. (Unless I have planned something outside of course, haha.) But we don’t get too many of these kinds of days in Colorado, so when we do, I just can’t wait to curl up in a cozy outfit with a hot cup of tea and a good book or movie. We watched News of The World this afternoon while the kids napped and it was so good! I definitely cried twice and it also made me realize that in no way would I have been cut out to make it in the Wild West era after the civil war. Nope. Even just watching someone riding in a wagon for hundreds of miles made my back hurt. And I for sure could not sleep on the ground night after night. I’d be too afraid to sleep out there in the open!

Anyway, lucky for me, I was not born in the late 1800s so I can plop myself down on a nice comfy couch in my yoga pants with my laptop and listen to the rain happy as can be. This cozy cardigan is one i’ve had forever and just such a good cozy staple to throw on over pajamas and these slippers are some of my favorites. My leggings are THE BEST pair I own from Old Navy. I got the XS Petite and they fit just right! Top is a new Amazon find and one I have been wearing lots lately! Great for under a knit top or lightweight jacket!
