Over the last few years that we have hosted, one year it took 9 hours to bake an 8 pound turkey and I was about to throw it over the fence by the end and take the family to McDonalds, then we burnt the next years to a crisp in the fryer, it literally caught. on. fire. and another year I completely screwed up the ratio of butter to potatoes and ended up with potato butter soup than potato salad.
