My Top 5 Favorite Winter Coats!

Since Spring is nearly here and so much winter gear has started going on clearance, I put together a list of my top 5 favorite winter coats that I use the most throughout the winter and ranked them based on fit, style, versatility and warmth, that way you can grab them now while they are majorly marked down!

Number One

This Calvin Klein coat comes in at #1 for me. It’s superrrr warm and cozy yet not incredibly bulky (there’s nothing quite as annoying as trying to run errands - especially with kids - out in the snow with your big coat on, feeling like Randy from A Christmas Story, and your purse keeps falling off your Michelin Man shoulder). I love that it’s a neutral color, has a cute furry hood, is a short length, and that I can dress it up or down!

Number Two

Coming in at numero dos is this vegan puffer from Abercrombie. I got this one just about a month ago and its quickly become one of my favorites! It is SO SOFT, y’all. I was thinking it might be kinda stiff when I saw it online, but it’s not! It’s buttery soft and very warm. Cute for a date night with boots or to pair with joggers and high tops for a casual day at the park or just out and about!

Number Three

My third choice is this Tommy Hilfiger Coat . First, I love that it’s a bold red color. I just love the color red and I tend to gravitate towards it; it compliments my skin tone and dark hair better than some other colors, so I’m a little biased :). Plus, it just gives a fun pop of color in the snow! Second, I really like that it’s long enough to cover your bum if you are wearing leggings or just want a little extra warmth for your tushy while you’re out in the cold. It’s my go-to jacket on days when I’m just wearing jeans and a long sleeve tee but need to go to the store or pick the kids up from school or something. Sometimes you can’t pair big chunky sweaters with big coats, so this is the perfect everyday coat! I just throw it on and instantly feel put together and ready for the snowy weather! Also love that it has a hood that actually stays on. I’ve found that some coats can have a hood that is so huge you can’t even see past the fur once it’s on, lol, but this one stays on really well even if we are out playing in the snow and running around!

Number Four

Coming in at #4 is this Kenneth Cole coat. It is veryyy warm and my favorite coat if I have to shovel the driveway. It keeps my legs warmer than any of my others since it’s long, and keeps my pants from getting soaked if I’m out there while it’s snowing!

I ranked this one lower on the list because it’s the biggest of the 5 so it’s not super versatile and if it warms up outside I will definitely get hot in it quick. But it’s worth it on the coldest of days! When it was -10 degrees here in Colorado the other weekend, it was my saving grace! So cozy and warm and still cute!

Number Five

Fifth on my list is this J. Crew Parka. It is so cute, you guys. I got it during a sale and it was still a bit of a splurge for me, but I’m really happy I went for it. I had been wanting a cute, trendy coat that I could dress up a little more with scarves and boots and yet was still warm enough if we wanted to walk around outside. It’s made of Italian wool so it’s really warm, has really good, deep pockets, and is really nice quality. I don’t shop much at J. Crew, but when I saw this one looking so cute on this girl in a photo on Pinterest, I had to track it down! Now I just want to take a trip to Banff and do all the winter wonderland things! :)

I have so many more that I want to share, but these are my top 5 AND they are all on super sale right now!! Happy almost spring!!
